Designed to develop industry-specific literacy and numeracy skills for the aged are sector. Gain knowledge and understanding of the different roles, duties and responsibilities for an aged care worker. Examples of topics include: duty of care, workplace communication, WHS and safe work practices.

This course is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding.
To be eligible to enrol in ACFE Board funded pre-accredited training, learners must meet the following criteria:

  • Australian Citizen
  • Holder of an Australian permanent visa
  • New Zealand Citizen
  • Asylum seekers holding valid visa that confers eligibility for Skills First training

AND:

  • Principal place of residence is in Victoria
  • 17 and over and not enrolled at school
  • Under 17 and not enrolled at school with exemption
  • Terms and Conditions Apply

OR:
Asylum seekers holding valid BVE, TPV or SHEV visa, that have been referred by Jobs Victoria Mentoring Service providers to pre-accredited pre-employment programs.**Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV), Temporary Protection Visa (TPV), Bridging Visa class E (BVE)
